The oil filter element is the oil filter. The function of the oil filter is to filter out the sundries, gums and moisture in the oil, and deliver clean oil to each lubricating part.
In order to reduce the frictional resistance between the relatively moving parts in the engine and reduce the wear of the parts, the oil is continuously transported to the friction surface of each moving part to form a lubricating oil film for lubrication. The engine oil itself contains a certain amount of gum, impurities, moisture and additives. At the same time, during the working process of the engine, the introduction of metal wear debris, the entry of debris in the air, and the generation of oil oxides make the debris in the oil gradually increase. If the oil directly enters the lubricating oil circuit without being filtered, the sundries contained in the oil will be brought into the friction surface of the moving pair, which will accelerate the wear of parts and reduce the service life of the engine.
Due to the high viscosity of the oil itself and the high content of impurities in the oil, in order to improve the filtration efficiency, the oil filter generally has three levels, namely the oil collector filter, the oil coarse filter and the oil fine filter. The filter is installed in the oil pan in front of the oil pump, and it is generally a metal filter type. The crude oil filter is installed behind the oil pump and is connected in series with the main oil passage. There are mainly metal scraper type, sawdust filter type and microporous filter paper type. Now the microporous filter paper type is mainly used. The oil fine filter is installed in parallel with the main oil passage after the oil pump. There are mainly two types of microporous filter paper type and rotor type. The rotor-type oil fine filter adopts centrifugal filtering without filter element, which effectively solves the contradiction between the oil passability and the filtering efficiency.
The role of the filter

Filter: The filter of the diesel generator set is a special pre-filtering equipment for diesel fuel used in internal combustion engines. It can filter out more than 90% of mechanical impurities, colloids, asphaltenes, etc. Improve engine life. Unclean diesel will cause abnormal wear and tear of the engine fuel injection system and cylinders, reduce engine power, increase fuel consumption rapidly, and greatly reduce the service life of the generator. The use of diesel filters can greatly improve the filtration accuracy and efficiency of engines using felt-type diesel filters, prolong the life of imported high-quality diesel filters several times, and have obvious fuel-saving effects. How to install the diesel filter: The diesel filter is extremely easy to install, just connect it to the oil supply line in series according to the reserved oil inlet and outlet ports. Pay attention to the connection in the direction shown by the arrow, and the direction of oil inlet and outlet cannot be reversed. When using and replacing the filter element for the first time, the diesel filter should be filled with diesel oil, and attention should be paid to the exhaust. The exhaust valve is on the end cover of the barrel.

How to replace the filter element: Under normal use, if the differential pressure alarm of the pre-filter device alarms or the accumulative use exceeds 300 hours, the filter element should be replaced.
The method of replacing the filter element: 1. Replacement of the filter element of the single-barrel pre-filtering device: a. Close the ball valve of the oil inlet and open the upper end cover. (The upper end cover of the aluminum alloy type needs to be gently pryed from the side gap with a flat-blade screwdriver); b. Unscrew the plug wire of the sewage outlet to drain the sewage oil; c. Loosen the fastening nut on the upper end of the filter element, and the operator wears an oil-proof Hold the filter element tightly with gloves, and remove the old filter element vertically upward; d. Replace the new filter element, pad the upper sealing ring (with its own sealing gasket at the lower end), and tighten the nut; f. Tighten the plugging wire of the sewage outlet and cover the upper end cover ( Pay attention to pad the sealing ring), and fasten the bolts. 2. Replacement of the filter element of the double-barrel parallel pre-filtering device: a. First close the oil inlet valve of the filter on one side of the filter element that needs to be replaced, close the oil outlet valve after a few minutes, then unscrew the end cover bolts and open the end cover; b. Open the sewage valve to completely drain the dirty oil and prevent the dirty oil from entering the clean oil chamber when the filter element is replaced; c. Loosen the fastening nut on the upper end of the filter element, the operator wears oil-proof gloves to hold the filter element tightly, and remove the old filter element vertically upward; c. Replace the new filter element, pad the upper sealing ring (the lower end has its own sealing gasket), and tighten the nut; d. Close the drain valve, cover the upper end cover (pay attention to pad the sealing ring), and fasten the bolts. E. Open the oil inlet valve first, then open the exhaust valve, close the exhaust valve immediately when the oil comes out of the exhaust valve, and then open the oil outlet valve; then operate the filter on the other side in the same way.
Generator filter
Generator set air filter: It is mainly an air intake device that filters the particles and impurities in the air inhaled when the piston generator set is working. It consists of a filter element and a shell. The main requirements of the air filter are high filtration efficiency, low flow resistance, and continuous use for a long time without maintenance. When the generator set is working, if the inhaled air contains dust and other impurities, it will aggravate the wear of the parts, so an air filter must be installed.
There are 3 ways of air filtration: inertia type, filter type and oil bath type:
Inertial type: Since the density of particles and impurities is higher than that of air, when the particles and impurities rotate with the air or make sharp turns, the centrifugal inertial force can separate the impurities from the airflow.
Filter type: guide the air to flow through a metal filter screen or filter paper, etc., to block particles and impurities and adhere to the filter element.
Oil bath type: There is an oil pan at the bottom of the air filter, which uses the airflow to impact the oil quickly, separates particles and impurities and sticks in the oil, and the agitated oil droplets flow through the filter element with the airflow and adhere to the oil. on the filter element. When the air flows through the filter element, it can further absorb impurities, so as to achieve the purpose of filtration.
The replacement cycle of the air filter of the generator set: the common generator set is replaced once every 500 hours of operation; the standby generator set is replaced once every 300 hours or 6 months. When the generator set is usually maintained, it can be removed and blown with an air gun, or the replacement cycle can be extended by 200 hours or three months.
Filtration requirements for filters: Filters produced by genuine factories are required, but they may not be big brands, but fake and shoddy ones must not be used.
