What is the sealing strip in the front compartment of a car?
The front cabin sealing strip is the rubber strip installed around the edge of the engine hood. Attention: The original sealing strip has relatively reliable performance, but the added sealing strip has very limited help for sound insulation and noise reduction. Car sound insulation is a systematic project. It is difficult to achieve a significant change by simply attaching a strip of rubber. Moreover, poor-quality rubber strips can easily age, soften, and even stick to the engine hood under high engine temperatures, and the poor-quality rubber can also block the drainage outlet, causing more problems.
When the sealing strip ages or is damaged, the waterproof and dust-proof effect will significantly decrease. It is recommended to check regularly and replace it promptly if any problems are found.

When replacing, remind the technician to make sure the corners are tightly secured.
Note: When the front cabin sealing strip is severely worn out, dust and moisture may enter the engine compartment, affecting heat dissipation and even becoming a passage for small animals to enter the cabin. Don't delay too long.
Daily advice: Check the condition of the rubber strip every 2-3 months. When parking, try to choose a sheltered place to reduce exposure to sunlight and rain, which can significantly extend its lifespan.
