What is the function and principle of the car condenser?

The automotive condenser is a crucial component in the air conditioning refrigeration cycle. Its core function is to cool and condense the high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous refrigerant into a liquid state, while also dissipating the heat absorbed by the refrigerant in the evaporator to the outside air through heat exchange, preparing for the subsequent refrigeration cycle.
The working principle is based on the heat exchange process: The high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous refrigerant is discharged from the compressor and enters the condenser. The condenser is usually installed in front of the vehicle's radiator and uses the headwind during vehicle movement or dedicated fans for forced ventilation, allowing air to flow over the heat exchange tubes and fins of the condenser. Since the refrigerant's temperature is higher than the surrounding air, heat is transferred through the tube walls to the air, and the refrigerant is gradually cooled. When the temperature drops below the dew point, the gaseous refrigerant condenses into a liquid state, completing the phase change from gaseous to liquid, and the released heat is carried away by the air flow. Eventually, the refrigerant flows out of the condenser in a high-pressure liquid form, passes through a throttle valve for pressure reduction, and enters the evaporator to continuously transfer heat inside the vehicle.
