Adjustment and inspection of headlamp beam

(1) Methods of adjustment and inspection

1. The adjustment inspection of the beam shall be carried out in front of the screen in a dark environment, or the adjustment shall be checked with a measuring instrument. The site for adjustment and inspection shall be flat and the screen shall be perpendicular to the site. The adjusted inspection vehicle shall be carried out under the condition of no-load and one driver.

2 . The beam irradiation orientation is represented by the offset value I. The offset value indicates the rotation angle of the dark cut-off line or the moving distance of the beam center along the horizontal H-H line or the vertical V left-v left (V right-v right) line on the screen with a distance of 10m (dam).

3 . Adjust the inspection on the screen. Stop the adjusted inspection vehicle in front of the screen and perpendicular to the screen, make the headlamp reference center * 10m away from the screen, and make the H-H line on the screen equal to the ground distance h from the headlamp reference center: measure the offset values of the horizontal and vertical illumination directions of the left, right, far and low beam respectively.

4 . Adjust the inspection with a measuring instrument. Align the adjusted inspection vehicle with the measuring instrument according to the specified distance; Check the offset values of the horizontal and vertical irradiation directions of the left, right, far and low beam from the screen of the measuring instrument.

(2) Requirements for adjustment and inspection

1 . Provisions on the adjustment and inspection of the passing beam of various types of lamps installed on motor vehicles on the screen. Class a lamps: headlamps installed on automobiles and motorcycles whose photometric performance meets the provisions of GB 4599-84 and GB 5948-86 respectively. Class B lamps: headlamps for automobiles and motorcycles that are allowed to be used over time. Class C lamps: headlamps for wheeled tractors for transport.

2. When a four lamp headlamp is installed, the adjustment of the high beam single beam lamp on the screen requires that the beam center below the H-H line is lower than 10% of the distance from the lamp center to the ground, that is, 0.1hcm/dam is equivalent to the landing distance of the beam center of 100m. The left and right deviation of V left-v left and V right-v right lines: the left deviation of the left lamp shall not be greater than 10cm / dam (0.6 °); The deviation to the right shall not be greater than 17cm / dam (1 °). The left or right deviation of the right lamp shall not be greater than 17cm / dam (1 °).

3 . Motor vehicles are equipped with high and low beam dual beam lamps, which mainly adjust the low beam beam to meet the requirements of Table 1.

4. For the adjusted beam, the high beam beam shall generally be able to clear the obstacles about 100m in front of the vehicle on a flat road; For low-speed motor vehicles such as wheeled tractors for transportation, the high beam shall be able to illuminate the obstacles about 35m in front of the vehicle.
