Mechanical damage
This is the most common fault type， mostly caused by collisions， external force impacts， or aging， resulting in the cracking or deformation of the grille. Minor damage can be repaired by using epoxy resin + glass fiber cloth bonding. If the metal grille deforms by more than 5 millimeters， it needs to be replaced.
Abnormal active grille function
The active air intake grille relies on sensors and motors to work together. The fault is manifested as being unable to automatically open or close， with the instrument indicating a fault code. Therefore, it is necessary to check monthly whether the grille is deformed or stuck; for active grille models, the working status can be viewed through the vehicle's on-board system. In case of any abnormalities, timely maintenance should be carried out.
